About Me:
Rofaida brings more than a decade of professional experience in marketing, business development, client relationship management, and creative design. Before beginning her studies in the United States, she worked at one of Bangladesh’s top private universities, where she contributed to student recruitment strategies, marketing campaigns, and institutional branding. Her ability to combine analytical insights with creative execution enabled her to design effective engagement strategies and strengthen organizational growth in a competitive education market.
At Louisiana Tech, Rofaida works as a graduate assistant in COES Communications and Outreach, supporting the college’s communications, marketing, and engagement efforts. In this role she creates promotional content and graphics, manages social media channels, assists with event promotion and coordination, contributes to newsletters and website updates, and helps amplify COES initiatives across campus and external audiences.
She serves as an appointed member of the Graduate Student Council in the College of Engineering and Science, represents her peers as a Graduate Senator in the Student Government Association, and is an active member of the Women in Business Association. Through these roles, she continues to refine her leadership skills while fostering collaboration across diverse student groups.
Looking ahead, she plans to build a career in Data Science that bridges her background in marketing with her expertise in business data analytics, enabling her to craft data-informed strategies that drive organizational growth and innovation. With a long-term vision of pursuing a PhD, she aspires to advance research and practice in this space, contributing to both academia and industry.
Beyond academics and professional goals, Rofaida finds creative expression through graphic and interior design, event planning, and traveling. An extrovert by nature, she enjoys meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and building meaningful connections wherever she goes.
