COES GSC

Who we Are?

GSC stands for the Graduate Student Council. We work with the graduate studies office to host beneficial events, such as the annual Graduate Research Symposium. We are members of the COES graduate student body who are elected to serve as its officers for a one-year term. All graduate students of the College of Engineering and Science (COES) are automatically members and are eligible to vote and run for officer positions.”

Our Mission

How We Help Students Succeed

To faithfully and effectively serve as representatives of the student body to the administration; to help propel and develop professional skills as well as academic progress. To lift everyone up and ensure everyone is heard and has a chance to succeed regardless of their background.

We’re worldwide non-profit charity.

What We Do

Our main focus is planning and hosting events, both large and small, for academic and professional development. We also serve as student representatives, communicating any concerns from the student body directly to the graduate studies office to ensure student voices are heard. Our most well-known events include the Graduate Research Symposium in the Spring and the 3-Minute Thesis competition every Fall.
