The Graduate Student Council (GSC) is the official representative body for graduate students within Louisiana Tech’s College of Engineering and Science (COES). We work directly with the graduate studies office to host events that benefit the student body, and we serve as the primary advocates for student concerns, ensuring your voices are heard by the administration.
Our main focus is planning and hosting events for academic and professional development, such as the annual Graduate Research Symposium and the 3-Minute Thesis competition. All graduate students in the COES are automatically members of the GSC and are encouraged to participate, vote in meetings, and run for officer positions.”
To faithfully and effectively serve as representatives of the student body to the administration; to help propel and develop professional skills as well as academic progress. To lift everyone up and ensure everyone is heard and has a chance to succeed regardless of their background.
